In 2024, 3R conducted a refreshed materiality assessment aligned with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidance for double materiality.
The updated topics reflect an expanded focus on 3R’s positive “handprint” through the addition of Enabling Client Sustainability, while strengthening its internal impact by refining Human Capital Development into distinct topics: Employee Engagement and Employee Training and Development.

- Achieving a 50% reduction in scope 2 emissions through energy efficiency upgrades while maintaining carbon neutrality.
- Expanding Sustainability Assurance Services (SAS) with ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation.
- Strengthening employee engagement through formalized career pathways and hosting an ISO 20121-certified onsite event.
- Contributing to the development of USGBC’s PERFORM program and the Green Sports Alliance Energy Decarbonization Playbook.
In 2024, 3R’s broader commitment to sustainability leadership was recognized with a Platinum EcoVadis Medal, Platinum Vibrant Pittsburgh Workplace designation, and its first independent B Corp Certification, underscoring its continued leadership in social and environmental impact.
