Client Needs
As the home of the Miami Dolphins and host of world-class sporting events such as the Formula One Miami Grand Prix, Miami Open, and 2026 World Cup, Hard Rock Stadium sought to develop a sustainability strategy to align initiatives with partner expectations and achieve LEED and FIA Three-Star certifications.
Approach and Solution
- Energy & GHG: Conducted enterprise-wide and F1 race-specific GHG inventories, reported to the F1 annual carbon footprint surveys, and continued to improve data quality.
- Strategy Development: Interviewed multiple stakeholders, completed an industry analysis and materiality assessment, set goals and objectives, and developed a sustainability action plan to guide implementation.
- Building Certification: Conducted a LEED feasibility and readiness assessment, completed site enhancements for LEED certification, and performed energy and waste audits to meet certification requirements.
- FIA Accreditation: Performed a management system gap assessment, developed a detailed implementation plan, conducted an internal audit, and provided HRS with technical advisory support to close non-conformances.
